If you want to pass the State Board Exam and you are testing through "vendor": PSI as their testing proctor then YOU NEED THIS BOOK! I just passed the written/Theory portion of this exam (high score too) just reading and re-reading this book. It is all you will need. Do not waste your money on the Milady "Exam Review" booklet. Because if your state is using the "vendor": PSI for their testing services, then all you need is this book. High recommend! Keep in Mind, I took the test in Fall of 2017. So it should be good through 2018 - 2020. But always get the newer version of this book IF there is one.
